Tactile Man, R.I.P.
I found out last night that Charles Barnett, aka "Tactile Man", trivia player and party luminary, passed away from either a heart attack or stroke yesterday afternoon. The world is minus another good person.

The Braves: 14 in a row?
Spring is here, and with spring came the annual tradition of declaring the Braves' divisional win streak over. Batting sucks, Pitching sucks, so-and-so shouldn't be here, blah, blah, blah, blah. Blah.
So now, we're nearing the end of April, and the annual neurosis continues. As in past years, however, the situation remains the same: the Braves still play in the NL East; the silver lining from such arrangement being the NL East still sucks. Couple that fact with the best starting rotation in the game, and the Braves can still win the division with a .240-hitting lineup.
The burden of proof rests on the other teams in the division, particularly the L.A. Nationals, to prove that the Braves can finish a season in second place. The L.A. Phillies are already plaing like it's August, the L.A. Nationals will remember they're really still the Expos, the L.A. Mets are, well, the Mets, and the L.A. Marlins still don't have Pudge Power.

Spring: Generally good.
So we're getting the last blast of winter (hopefully). Afterwards, it'll be time to break out the shorts for another 6 months or so. To recap the past few weeks: Sucked, Did Not Suck, Sucked, and Neutral.
