Happy Springtime, folks
It's been a month, I figure I should update. Spring arrived a few weeks ago, leading off with the first good pool day of the year. winter promptly chased Spring off its lawn, and started the annual back-and-forth that passes for Spring in Atlanta.

Or, should I say, "Teh ATL" I really don't think the slogan is worth proper spelling of 'the'. We have a slogan, a theme song, and a movie. Because apparently, we don't have much else to offer.

In stark contrast to last year, this year has produced far less suck. I'll go so far as to say this year is actually looking ok so far. I'm getting out of the house more, if only to walk to the new Taco Mac and its 1.35e20 kinds of beer.

I'm still processing December's road trip. I haven't had much need to travel since then (I wonder why). But I've still got a travel bug. Actually, I've got a 'pack the car and drive across the country again' bug.

And speaking of cars, I'm fairly much set on buying a Jetta diesel in the near future. These are weird, in that new ones are costing in the $25k range, and 3-year ago models remain in the $18-20k range. That's quite a bit of value retention for a car. So, I'm in with a new one. Why diesel? Fuel compatibility, that's the only real reason. Diesel can be made out of damn near any organic substance, from coal to veggie oil. Double my current mileage and the stupendous longetivity of a diesel engine are also bonuses. :)
