Reflections at Tax Time
- The dollar is fucked. Plan accordingly.
- Fuel and energy prices are fucked. Plan accordingly.
- Prices for anything based on grains is fucked. Plan accordingly.
- M3 statistics have been unreleased for over a year now. Back home, we call this "blindfolding the victim."
- The Braves are 7-3, and should be 9-3 by Sunday.
- The Thrashers should have put fear into Rangers fans with Thursday's performance.
- Dogfish Head Brewery's Midas Touch offering is made of: Barley, Honey, White Grapes, Saffron, and 100% pure Grade-A Win.
- The current garden involves: Basil (a dwarf version, this year), Thyme (see below), Sage (see below), Garlic, Roma Tomato, Big Boy Tomato, Fennel, Cilantro, Oregano, Parsley, Chili Pepper (unknown variety), Rosemary, Dill, Cucumber.
- House of the week: This house, listed on eBay. Reinforced concrete structure built into a hill. 9' and 10' ceilings, separate shed and garage. This is so freaking cool, it disgusts me that the price is listed at $600k.
- The following radio stations make Satellite Radio obsolete in Atlanta: 88.5 (WRAS), 89.3 (WRFG), 90.1 (WABE), 91.1 (WREK), 91.9 (WCLK)
Regarding the Thyme and Sage: They're Roboplants. One of the Thyme plants died, and I didn't replace it, so the remaining Thyme plant gets a pot to itself--and is taking over in Spades. I pruned the Sage back to 2" worth of stem, and it's pretty much taken over its pot, and the clippings have taken root, and now I have two planters full of Sage, with some extracurricular, hydroponic Sage action going on.

Today's topic for discussion is:
Green onions do not require refrigeration when bought with the roots intact; plant them in a planter pot, and they'll grow until you need them. They are onions, after all.
