De-Spin: Senator Clinton is Correct.

There's been a ginormous flap over the past week, over some comment Senator Clinton made to answer the question of why she is still in the presdential race. That comment was something to the effect of "we all remember what happened in 1968," to which the "progressive" delegation has responded with shock, alarm, and the nearly unanimous consensus that Clinton has committed some form of atrocity.

I call "Bullshit" on such responses. Senator Clinton's comment reflects a valid rationale, whether intended or not. The reactions describe the comment at worst as a bounty, and at best, as a scarecrow. Simply put, these responses are a sign of both the weariness of Obama's supporters, and of the generational bias that is part of the demographicality of this Presidential election cycle.

In doing so, these Obama supporters (they're too partial to be described as critics) completely ignore the underlying truth: the faction that has run this country since 2000 has: assassinated one President Kennedy; very likely assassinated one Robert Kennedy before he could become President; has scuttled President Carter's term; has unseated at least three Governors (Davis-CA, Siegelman-AL, Spitzer-NY). This faction has meddled in our politics for decades, has infected the Republican Party since the '60s, run Congress since the 90's, and run the country outright since January 2001.

This faction is hostile to anyone that does not swear allegiance to them; and once the levers of government are finally pried from their grasp, that faction can be expected to revert back to market manipulation, targeted violence, and rhetoric-spawned attacks.

Collectively, they are our taliban. And when taliban aren't in power, they're insurrecting their way into power. That's what taliban generally do, and that's what our taliban's history shows.

And I am supposed to be surprised that our taliban will provoke or coordinate an attack on a non-taliban nominee? Like I said earlier, "Bullshit."
