Hi, Gustav

As Fay dumps its remnants over the Southeast and Appalachia, a new cyclone has spun up in about the right spot to finish what Fay started. Gustav is in play, as a medium-strong tropical storm, expected to run the length of Cuba and dump out into the southeast Gulf.

If it hangs up on Florida, we'll have Fay II, with another deluge with slightly stronger winds. If it clears Florida and makes its way into open water, it should spin up into a real hurricane, and run north.

Today's topic for discussion is:
TS Fay is just what we needed. How much rain are we getting? Check out the USGS gauges, grouped by river basin.
